Touring Lincoln’s Remodeled Homes

The Tour of Remodeled Homes is an event we look forward to every year. It is organized each spring by the Remodelers Council of Lincoln. The tour of 15-20 homes is a great source of inspiration for homeowners looking to remodel or add on to their homes.

This year we featured a beautiful home in the Country Club neighborhood of Lincoln, and it has quite the story.

When this house was for sale, it had been on the market for a long time. The floor plan was an inefficient use of space, and was not attracting buyers. When the current owners were looking at the home, they looked at it with a remodeler’s eye. They contacted us at Willet Construction to collaborate with their vision, and after showing them our plans for the house, they decided to purchase it. And with that we got to work on improving the house.

The owners of this home love to cook, so the kitchen was a primary focal point in our efforts. The large island connecting the kitchen to the family room reflects their enjoyment of both cuisine and family.

Many of this home’s neighbors had seen it when it was for sale, and also visited during the tour. We were humbled to hear so many compliments on this home’s fresh new look.
