CURB APPEAL – The exterior of your house is your home’s first impression for anyone who drives by or comes to visit. Curb appeal is how you feel about a home when you see it, and yours should make you happy whenever you drive up. You also want to have peace of mind that your home is safe and snug, protected from the elements. You don’t want to feel anxiety about how your siding is performing. That’s why we prefer James Hardie® siding.

VALUE – Upgrades made to the exterior of your home can bring you a greater return than most interior projects. According to Remodeling Magazine’s 2019 Cost vs. Value report, in our region, (besides stone veneer) siding brings the highest return of any project – inside or out. Fiber cement has a better return on investment than any other siding and has many other benefits.

ROT – James Hardie® products are engineered to withstand damage from moisture and rot. If you see something minor on the outside, or if you have vines growing up behind your siding, chances are there is rot or mold beneath it. The longer you wait, the more repairs will be needed, increasing the cost of your siding project.

CLIMATE – James Hardie® siding is a fiber cement product, engineered to handle whatever the elements bring. James Hardie® has studied the long-term effects that different climates have on siding and created the HardieZone® system. This means you are getting the right product for your region, rather than one product sold to everyone. The change of seasons can have as much stress on siding as extreme weather. Hardie products are Engineered for Climate®.

EXTREME WEATHER – Nebraska weather can be extreme at times, causing siding to swell and crack, or lose paint. Severe weather, such as hail, blizzards, and tornadoes, can hit hard and sometimes without warning. Extreme droughts and heat can go on and on. Vinyl siding can crack in harsh conditions like extreme cold or hail storms and steel can dent. James Hardie siding resists the impact of hail and windblown debris and is designed to perform in extreme heat and cold. James Hardie siding along with proper installation can help protect you from unpredictable elements.

PAINT – If you have wood siding, you know it needs to be painted on a regular basis. This is due to temperature swings causing your siding to expand and contract, stretching your paint and then leading to cracking and peeling. James Hardie’s ColorPlus® technology is a baked-on color option that resists fading and looks great without excessive maintenance.

FIRE – Besides being protected from the elements weather can bring, you want to know the walls of your house will protect you from fire. Wood burns and vinyl melts almost instantly during a fire. Hames Hardie® siding will not ignite when exposed to direct flame, nor will it contribute fuel to a fire. Because James Hardie® products are non-combustible, many insurance companies offer a discount.

COLOR – When you choose James Hardie® siding and trim products, they will either be primed for painting or with color already applied. When you invest in their ColorPlus® technology you get gorgeous color that will last longer than a typical paint job or the color on a vinyl or aluminum product that can fade. The ColorPlus® process includes multiple coats of paint on every surface of siding and trim. Between coats the finish is baked on in a controlled environment for an even stronger bond that resists chipping, peeling, and cracking. Where a paint job might show uneven paint application, the finish of ColorPlus® siding will be uniform and consistent.

STYLE – Besides color, there are several styles of siding you can choose from. The styles of siding James Hardie offers includes: Lap, Shingle, Vertical Panel, Board and Batten, and Artisan siding. So, whether you want to match siding already on your home, or create a new look, there is a style for you. This also means you don’t have to redo your whole house at once, if you don’t want to, we can match what is currently on your home for a seamless transition.
