November Newsletter

Fall is here and cold weather is creeping in. Soon it will be time to store the hoses and shut down the sprinkler system. To keep your yard furniture from fading, store it in a shed or garage, along with your grill. If you have a wood deck, sealing it before cold temps and snow lead to moisture intrusion might be a good idea. Give it a good cleaning first, then let it dry for a couple of days before giving it a good sanding. Then sweep or vacuum before applying sealant.
Now is also a great time to open up windows and do a fall cleaning when we have a nice day. Dust ceiling corners and fans, clean draperies and blinds. Remove screens and wash windows inside and out. On days when it’s not so nice to have windows open, organize the junk drawer and cupboards.
Inspect gutters and downspouts to make sure they are connected correctly, and don’t leak. With leaves falling it is important to keep the drainage system working efficiently.

Thank you to those of you who attended our Open House! We had a great turnout and saw a lot of familiar faces. If you weren’t able to make it, here are some photos so you can see what you missed.
Jason gave a speech honoring the legacy of Willet Construction where he talked about Rick & Marcia founding the company in 1995 and now being in business for 30 years.
Rick and Marcia talked about how the success of Willet Construction is due to the whole team, naming Eric & Jeremy as examples, as well as our loyal customers.
Guests were treated with custom cookies from Ruthie’s Rolling Pin sponsored by Plato Woodwork. Food from Graze Craze was sponsored by Andersen Windows. Drawings were held for gifts sponsored by James Hardie Siding and Cambria.

We are looking for an experienced salesperson to help create exterior projects customers will love. The role includes sales and design for projects that include siding, decks, windows, doors, outdoor kitchens, and screened porches, among others.
If you know someone who wants to work for a small business, wants an opportunity for growth and a career in construction, enjoys variety rather than repetition, and loves piecing together details, send them our way.
They can visit our website: willetconstruction.com/careers to start the process.

In September, both Jason and Jeremy attended their Summit events with Remodelers Advantage in Denver. This was a week of meetings and speakers aimed at helping members improve their businesses and services. Here is a photo of all the Roundtable members at the Summit, along with a photo of Jason with his Roundtable group at a Colorado Rockies game.

Jeremy also met with his Roundtable group of Production Managers and was voted MVP!
Also in September, some of our guys attended a clay shoot sponsored by Window Option Specialists at Oak Creek Sporting Club. Dustin Merry from Window Option Specialists poses with Jonathan, Jason, Rick, and Karl.

Next month you’ll see photos of the finished Design Studio
