The owners of this home had built it over 20 years ago and were ready for some updates. All the cabinetry was removed from the kitchen along with the wallpaper. The hardwood floors were extended into the adjoining living area to tie them together. Then new paint was applied, and the cabinetry came in.

The new cabinets were taken to the ceiling and done in one continuous wood. Room was made in the island for the microwave to free up counter space. Deep drawers were used in the island, roll-out shelving was used in the rest of the base cabinets and dividers put in higher ones, all with easier access in mind. The homeowners are planning on staying in this home another 20 years or more, so wanted to make sure they could do it comfortably.
