Wilderness Ridge Sunspace
Back to all projects
This project included removing a sunroom that was hot and rarely used and adding more living space in the new sunspace. The roof overhang was removed, along with the gutters and shingles to prepare for new framing.
The ground level of the addition was framed for a storage room while the upper level was framed for the new sunspace. The existing roof line was extended out for the new room and featured a cathedral ceiling inside. The room was lined with Sunspace windows on three walls, including trapezoid windows on the gable end. These feature vertical 4-track vinyl window system. It combines a breezy, open air feeling of a screen room with the safety of an enclosed porch. The window units slide up and down from 25% open to 75% open or completely closed.
The entire addition was wrapped in James Hardie siding and trim in Iron Gray.
