Vintage Heights Basement
Back to all projects
Creating a comfortable living space for the homeowner’s parents was the goal for this project. We were tasked with updating the bathroom to make it accessible for aging parents and with as few trip hazards as possible; create a good-sized closet with plenty of storage; and update the wet bar to a kitchenette for added independence. It also included adding an elevator to make getting from the basement to the main floor effortless.
All flooring and cabinetry were removed. Electrical and plumbing changes were made once framing was completed. After the drywall was completed, the elevator was installed and new cabinetry brought in.
Next came paint, tile, and flooring, along with a new bedroom window. Then all the finishing touches.
Now the family can live together in comfort and with peace of mind while each maintains their independence and privacy.
