Trinity Oaks Basement
Back to all projects
The order of business for this basement remodel was to make the space function better and bring it into the current century.
The bar area was closed off from the rest of the room and didn’t work well for entertaining. The bathrooms shared a water closet that was cramped, and both needed carpet removed. The last order of business was to install a door to the ensuite for more privacy.
The wall to the water closet was removed so the room could be expanded into bathroom 1. The supply wall to the shower was bumped out to make it wider and longer. The walls were tiled to the ceiling in the shower and extended along the back wall behind the toilet. New LVP flooring now runs throughout both bathrooms. New cabinetry was also brought in, trading the oak for white and covering them with Cambria quartz countertops. New plumbing fixtures and lighting completed the transformation.
The bar was gutted to make room for new flooring and cabinetry. The peninsula that once closed off the area was replaced with an island that can accommodate seating on both sides while housing an icemaker in one end. Cabinetry on the back wall was taken to the ceiling to maximize storage, and wine glass shelves were added. Tile here was also on the entire back wall, as well as the wall next to the stairs. The countertops covered with Cambria quartz.
