Southgate Laundry Addition
Back to all projects
There were a few musts needed for this project: an improved screened-in porch, a new laundry room, and better flow in the house. She also wanted to incorporate items created by people she knew; custom floor bricks with her grandkids’ names in them; and custom cabinetry in the laundry area. She found a stained-glass window she bought at auction while we were in design for which we sized an opening. We also incorporated her vintage light fixtures into the design.
We came up with a plan for a laundry room addition that walks out onto a screened-in porch. This included moving garage access around the corner to the new laundry room and revising the top basement steps for a level floor throughout the space. We also moved a beam between her kitchen and dining room up into the ceiling and resurfaced the ceiling throughout the living areas.
In the end she completely loves her new spaces and spends the majority of her time there. She also gave us one of the best reviews, citing all the things Willet Construction stands for and strives to achieve with each client.
“I actually have already told several friends about Willet Construction and how happy I am to work with them! From the initial design phase to the final walk-through, it was obvious that the folks at Willet genuinely listened to, and cared about, the ideas I had for my project. They made it very clear that the process, and my comfort with it, was a top priority. There was never a sense of rushing to the finish line to move onto other projects. Quite the opposite in fact. Willet made every effort to ensure my complete satisfaction with my addition and I couldn’t be happier!”
