Quail Valley Kitchen
Back to all projects
For this kitchen remodel, the young homeowners wanted to create better flow and brighten the space up. They have fun with color and pattern and wanted to bring that into the kitchen. They needed designated appliance storage and a built-in microwave to get things off the countertop.
Where the kitchen used to feel crammed in a corner, Jenny designed uppers to the ceiling to bring height and storage to the room. The fridge was moved to make room for a pass-through window, which helps bring interaction between the kitchen and living room and make doing dishes more enjoyable. An island was created for even more storage and to retain the eat-in feature of the room. A custom railing was created for the basement stairs to add more modern flair to the room.
They chose a fun backsplash tile to install in a random pattern. The countertop is Cambria Hadley for another splash of color. Cabinetry was done in Red Oak in a Safari stain to ground the room. The flooring is a neutral Cashmere Granite color of luxury vinyl tile, that has a quiet pattern. Cabinet hardware is all pulls with a satin nickel finish. The pendant above the sink is orange for a fun pop of color which can also be found in other items in the room. Now the kitchen is a modern, fun space that feels more spacious.
