Downtown Condo Gets the Business
This 30-year-old condo had not been updated since it was first built. The owner decided it was time for an update, so we worked our magic on almost every surface. The work was completed in two phases so the owner wouldn’t have to be out of the home for the entire duration of the project. We started in the bedroom, bath, and living areas, then finished with the kitchen, dining and foyer.
We removed original tile flooring and carpet, all trim work, popcorn ceilings, cabinetry and bathroom tile. New large-scale tiles were laid throughout the condo, except for the bathroom. The bathroom soaker tub was replaced with a gracious walk-in shower. All trim work and interior doors were upgraded. The kitchen layout was shifted so pantry storage could be added. New Plato cabinetry and quartz countertops were brought into the kitchen and bath, new tile backsplash in the kitchen and tile in the shower.
The lighting and plumbing fixtures were also updated. Recessed lighting was added to the bedroom and kitchen, as well as under-cabinet lighting in the kitchen. Recessed lighting was also added to the dining area, hallway, and in the shower.
The upgrades tie in perfectly with the mid-century mod furnishings and the homeowner is happy to live there another 30 years.
