While this craft room had plenty of space, the homeowner wanted some better organization options, more useable work surface, and a room that was simply more enjoyable to use.
Out went the fluorescent lighting, the golden oak cabinets, and the storage units. We brought in custom cabinetry from Plato Woodwork. Quarter sawn oak base cabinets sit below upper cabinets with glass doors and beautiful walnut interiors. The island and bookcase cabinetry are covered with a Platinum paint color, and the open shelving above the sink matches the walnut and base cabinetry.
A backsplash was added in a Cosmo Blue tile nodding to the quilting work the room is made for. A new sink and faucet were also added, and framed pegboard for more organization options. The wood-look tile floor was laid in a herringbone pattern and heated to make it a cozy, relaxing room for this busy mom.
