Back to all projects
This home was ready for some updating. The owners were tired of the golden oak, tired of the popcorn, tired of the wallpaper, and tired of the old flooring. It was time to usher out the 1980s and in the 2020s.
The kitchen was completely gutted, including the soffit and a small closet, to make room for more cabinetry and counterspace. Wallpaper was removed from the dining room, and flooring was taken out of the kitchen, living, and dining areas. The popcorn ceiling was also eliminated from these areas and the hallway.
Once plumbing and electrical changes were made, drywall went up and the ceiling received a new texture. Next cabinets were installed, along with a custom piece for the dining room to replace their old hutch.
While the countertop was being fabricated, new flooring and paint were applied. Next the countertop was brought in, then the backsplash was installed.
Now the home is fresh and modern. This home was featured on the 2022 Tour of Remodeled Homes in Lincoln.
