Craftsman Kitchen
Back to all projects
The only thing the homeowner loved about this kitchen was the floor and the Craftsman vibe. The layout wasn’t working, the peninsula was awkward, and the fixtures were dated. A built-in buffet area, although pretty, was not utilized well and accumulated clutter. We removed everything from the kitchen, including the soffits and a small wall dividing it from the dining area.
The doorway to the kitchen was resized and plumbing lines rerun to new appliance locations. Lovely new walnut cabinets were installed, creating a new peninsula and a new desk area. Quartz countertop was installed on the cabinets and desk. The floors were refinished and filled in where old cabinets were removed.
New paint was applied, new backsplash mounted, new lighting and electrical fixtures installed along with new appliances. There is now seating at the counter for better entertaining. The desk area functions well and keeps clutter tucked away. The homeowner now has her dream kitchen.
