Preserving at the Preserve
Because the cabinets were in good shape, and the layout was good, the decision was made to preserve the cabinetry and just have it painted. The biggest structural change was the raised top between the kitchen and dining areas. This was cut down to one level, then we modified the range cabinet for a new style and had the hood vented to the outside. While we were at it, we also updated the beverage center around the corner so the look was cohesive, and modified the cabinetry for a mini fridge.
To top it all off, literally, new countertops and backsplash tile were installed, along with new pendant lights, under-cabinet lighting and sinks.
