Briar Rosa Transformation

We started in the bathroom of this home, and the homeowner decided to redo her kitchen as well. She is loving the transformation.

In the bathroom everything was removed, including the wallpaper. The tub was replaced with a bright walk-in shower with glass doors, the vanity reconfigured to include a tall linen cabinet and topped with a quartz countertop. New flooring, paint, lighting, and plumbing fixtures finished the remodel.

Next, we moved to the kitchen. This room was separated from the living room with a wall that went almost to the vaulted ceiling. This made the kitchen dark and cramped. We removed the wall and replaced it with an island. The fridge was moved to the opposite wall and built in with custom cabinetry. The popcorn ceiling was also scraped and refinished. A marble-like 4×12 subway tile was applied as backsplash, and the same tile in a herringbone pattern was placed behind open shelving that went above the sink. This was set off with a new farmhouse light fixture. New pendants went over the island and recessed lighting throughout the kitchen make it much brighter. The wood-look vinyl flooring warms the room while providing a dog-friendly surface. Now the kitchen is open to the living area, providing a bright, enjoyable living and entertaining space.
