July Featured Project: Outdoor Addition

Household Maintenance Tips

We are really feeling the heat now, with more to come. One way to help your HVAC system work more efficiently is to make sure leaks around doors, windows, and other areas are sealed. Sealing and insulating air ducts can also go a long way toward saving on your energy bills. Sealing gaps around doors and windows also help prevent pests from entering your home. While you’re inspecting, make sure your screens are in good repair. Have you washed off your deck and furniture yet? Doing this early in the day will have it dry for use in the afternoon or evening. Make sure to clear the area around your grill to eliminate any fire hazard.

If you seem to be doing load after load of laundry these days, make sure you keep your washer and dryer in tip-top shape. Front-loading washers should have the gasket around the door cleaned regularly. This can be done by wiping it down with diluted vinegar or bleach. Leave the door open when done to let it dry. It is also recommended that you drain your water heater once a year to clear out sediment that can affect its performance.

Did You Know…

We often hear from past clients that they didn’t know we do a certain type of work. We may have done their siding or deck, but they didn’t know we do interior projects, also. Or perhaps we remodeled their kitchen but they didn’t know we replace windows or do additions. We invite you to visit our website and see all the different types of projects we do. You can also see photos of finished projects. You can contact us for any type of job you want done, big or small.

Featured Project: Outdoor Addition

This house has an odd-shaped backyard where the house is tucked into one corner. It had a good-sized deck, but the homeowners wanted to get more enjoyment out of their backyard.

We did an addition onto their kitchen near the center of the house, and also a roof cover and patio on one end. We matched their existing siding, so the project looks seamless and as if it has always been there. We also added some privacy with fencing. We even installed a separate door for the resident pooch. The backyard is now an oasis. And if you like the exterior, wait until you see what we did on the inside!

Catch Up With The Homers

Aren’t Jarrod’s sweet baby girls, Emery Leiana and Vivienne Rose, the cutest twins? These two bundles of joy joined the Homer family at the beginning of May. They are growing and changing by the day!

WCI Design Center Is Open

After being closed for nearly three months, WCI Kitchen & Bath Design Center is open once again! There are new tile samples and displays to see. Each time you visit, you will be greeted by a design professional in our showroom. We do request, at this time, that you call ahead to make an appointment before visiting. Thanks in advance!
