Recently a number of staff members from Willet Construction went to Plato, MN for training at the Plato Woodwork plant. There we were able to see first-hand the quality and care that goes into each cabinet produced by the company and meet the people throughout the organization who make it a success.
Plato Woodwork is a 5th generation, family-owned and operated business. Each cabinet is built using materials of the highest standards, from US sources whenever possible, and with environmentally sound practices. State-of-the-art technology combined with the skills of experienced craftsmen provide cabinetry which is heirloom quality. And that’s just the beginning.
Over the course of our two-day experience we heard over and over, “if your customer wants something custom, just ask”. Unlike your box store cabinets, sold in a few sizes and styles, the possibilities are endless when it comes to kitchen or bath cabinet design. One example is the cabinetry built for someone who had sent in their own barn wood. Or the k-cup holder requested from another customer. Maybe you want walnut instead of maple interiors – no problem. Your cabinets aren’t being plucked from a warehouse of pre-assembled products, in pre-designated sizes and finishes, your cabinets are built specifically for you.
Willet Construction, Inc. has built it’s reputation by providing a quality product and working with quality trades and suppliers. Plato Woodwork fits right in to that standard. Experiencing the construction process from beginning to end gave us great insight into what our customers will receive upon delivery. A cabinet is more than what you see when you walk into a room, the craftsmanship and materials determine how long that cabinet will last. Besides their custom line, they have other lines available that can fit into a range of budgets. All are built with the same high standards.
